So I said I would talk about the statement I made in my last journal and here I am to talk about it.

So yea, I'm giving up anime art for a while.

WHAT?! KB, THIS IS MADNESS!"

No...THIS IS SPAR...no, I'm not making that joke.

So no, it's not because I don't like anime art anymore, it's because I HAVE to stop for a while.
Confused?
Allow me explain.
I started drawing (trying to seriously draw) when I was 12 years old (contrary to most people who've been drawing and knowing they've wanted to draw many years before they were 12). What did I start drawing? Yes, anime art.
I'm 23 years old now and I still draw the same thing. Mind you, I like to think that I've improved since I was twelve, but for 11 years I've drawn nothing, but the same style of art and I just can't do it anymore. I DON'T want to be identified anymore as "That girl who draws anime". I don't wanna be labeled anymore; even though the only one who's done that to me is myself.
I want to grow as an artist, expand my horizons, and all that jazz, and I believe that sticking to one style is only going to inhibit that growth.
I believe this is why I haven't created anything since December. I've been in such a rut with myself, but when I finally realized exactly what was wrong with me, I found a new passion for creating and I have new ideas I wanna explore!

I won't stop drawing, I'll just try testing a few different avenues. Hopefully the trials will be worth it!

What won't change: though I'll be doing my best to make improvements to my style, Mad Tea House ( [link] ) which will be returning sometime this month will not change it's style...not yet anyway. I don't wanna tinker with a style change until MTH is slightly more established.

On this note, let me say that I'm not abandoning a style or an interest or anything of the sort.
I simply wanna take the plunge into something new and the only way to do that is to let some things from my past go. I will occasionally doodle something up in an anime style, it just won't be as often.

I hope the few of you that have been kind enough to stick around with me will continue to stick around. This will be fun! Pinky swear!

Teapot might be thrown somewhere in the future, no worries. The site was so cluttered and took so long to load it just was the best thing to convert it to HTML.

I dont care about the pageviews.... Im just saying that nobody would notice if I were to disappear. God that sounded emo. Hahahahaha. I did it on purpose.

And Flash games aren't exactly easy to make. They take time... effort... and graphic artists, lol. I have too much other crap to worry about :( I have like 9 game ideas I wanna make though. Le sigh...

If I were here for the pageviews I would be gone a long freakin time ago. I've been on this site since 2003...4 years now! If you were to do the math, I get about...4 visits a day...a day! And that's mostly from people I know.
DA is a great place to meet new people and to look at art and be inspired. Not the pageviews.
So no more of that nonsence. Post cause you want to, not cause of the pageviews.
